School of Physiotherapy KCMC - Moshi, REG/HAS/069, Private Institutions with Full registration, Kilimanjaro, it located in the region of Kilimanjaro Tanzania with the aims
of prepare graduates of the course in order to have a clear concept of the
responsibilities of a physiotherapist towards clients, colleagues and the nation.
These comprise ofresearch, education, continuing self-development, and adherence
to professional ethics.
Programs Offered
During the first years students undergo
the basic and applied sciences. I.e.anatomy, physiology, clinical science,
exercise therapy, psychology, communication skills, first aid, biomechanics,physical
education, and physical assessment. In the second year students start practicing
their skills to patients on module rotational basis under supervision of
clinical instructors. During the third year students are given more opportunity
to deal with patients/clients and they go for their field work in other
hospitals where they work more independently. This prepares them to gain
confidence in physiotherapy practice and prepares them to work independently.
